| Zakres tematów: |
1. Postulates of statistical thermodynamics.
2. Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution law. C and β constants in Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution law.
3. Basic concepts of statistical quantum mechanics. The number of quantum-mechanical states for bosons and fermions. The number of quantum- mechanical states in the case of distinguishable particles. The comparison of three statistics.
4. Microcanonical, canonical and grand-canonical ensemble and their applications. Thermodynamic equivalence of ensembles
5. Quantum mechanical principles, basic systems (particularly hydrogen-like atom), variational and perturbational approximation methods.
6. One Electron Approximation and the Hartree-Fock method.
7. Electron Correlation, Post Hartree-Fock Methods (Moller-Plesset MP2, MP3, MP4, Configuration Interaction CI).
8. Geometry Optimization. Potential Energy Surface. Simulation of the IR and NMR spectra. |
